Abstract

Cu × P interaction was studied in pots, using a red soil and growing maize (Kisan composite) as a test crop. Dry matter yield of maize, as well as, uptake and concentration of Cu and P increased with increasing levels of application of either of the elements. However, P treatment led to decreased concentration of Zn and Mn, whereas Cu addition led to increased concentration of Fe and Mn. Ratios such as Cu/Fe, Cu/Zn and Cu/N increased due to P additions.
