Abstract

DPA and EPTC reduced total Ca uptake in maize when applied at 200 and 800 mg/pot, whereas 2,4-D enhanced it gradually when applied from 50 to 200 μg/pot. Significant reduction in 45Ca absorption resulted from the application of atrazine, DPA, EPTC and 2, 4-D. However, the effect was more pronounced in case of EPTC and 2, 4-D than with DPA and atrazine.
