Abstract

The soil profiles had the typical characteristics of black soils. The micro-relief had influence on some of the soil characters; namely, depth of solum, colour, reaction, texture, and calcareousness of the soils. These characters increased in their intensity with decrease in gradient of the slope. The soil development was so influenced by micro-relief that the soil profiles on a single slope were classified differently.
