Application of potassium to an acid alluvial soil of Assam å 22.5 ppm K produced significant response by rice in greenhouse, while higher level of it resulted in luxury absorption. Liming, in general was found to favour crop response to applied K. Inclusion of Mg in the liming material had no effect on crop response to applied K over liming with only calcium carbonate.
