Abstract

Accumulation and decline of available Zn, Fe, Cu and Mn in soil were measured after four cycles of wheat-maize rotation under intensive cropping. A significant effect of continuous application of chemical fertilizers on the crop yield had been obtained. The initial available Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn declined in untreated soil and accumulated in soil treated continuously with chemical fertilizers under intensive cropping.
