The effect of compost and neem cake on the applied nitrogen sources was studied in a pot culture experiment. The efficiency of ammonium sulphate increased when it was blended with neem cake. Moreover, the efficiency of the combined application of urea and compost increased significantly when the same were admixed with neem cake as indicated by higher grain yield, N uptake and turnover of nitrogen.
