Abstract

The average contents of various forms of potassium in red, black, laterite and alluvial soils of Karnataka were worked out and correlation coefficients were calculated. The variation in the distribution of potassium depends upon the mineral present, particle size and degree of weathering. Correlations between potassium fixation capacity of the soils and various soil parameters were worked out.
