The soil and land use survey of the Seed Multiplication Farm, Pekhubela in Himachal Pradesh was undertaken with a view to classify the land into different soil series and capability classes. Four soil series were idnentified and their physical and chemical characteristics and nutrient status were indicated. The land capability classes and sub-classes, showing the nature and intensity of limitation for each class of land use, were also made. A soil and land capability map has been prepared. The management needs for each class and sub-class have also been suggested according to the prevailing problem.
