Abstract

An attempt was made to establish relationships between soil-water functions, viz, intensity, capacity and rate with various physical and chemical characteristics of soils. Silt plus day content and cation exchange capacity of a soil were found to determine greatly the various soil-water functions. Multiple regression equations between each of the soil-water functions and silt plus clay and cation exchange capacity were established.
