Abstract

The results of a field experiment conducted at the University farm revealed that P, K, Fe and Zn content of Indian mustard seed was not influenced by Zn and Fe application. Nitrogen content of seed however increased due to Zn and Fc application over no applicaton of Zn and Fe. Total nitrogen, phosphorus and iron uptake significantly increased due to Fe and Zn application. Potassium uptake was significantly higher at 15 kg ZnSO4 application over control and 30 kg level. Potassium uptake also significantly increased due to Fe application. Zinc uptake tended to increase with Zn application. Application of 10 kg ferrous sulphate significantly increased Zn uptake over control and 20 kg ferrous sulphate level.
