Available methods in literature to determine hydrodynamic dispersion coefficient were tested for their accuracy and limitations. As the number of points on the breakthrough curve used to determine dispersion coefficient increase, the accuracy of prediction increases. In view of this, it f as been suggested that for higher accuracies modified ‘Inverfc’ procedure may be used. When average concentration instead of instantaneous concentration of drainage water is known leached fraction procedure may be adopted.
