Abstract

Efficiency of different sources of sulphur on rice under submerged condition was studied. The sources of sulphur were from ammonium sulphate, gypsum, elemental sulphur and sulphur coated urea at the rate of 0.0, 7.5, 10.0, 15.0 kg S/ha. Two crops of rice (Brisail and Nizersail) were grown in wet (August-December) season. Results showed that application of sulphur improved yield and sulphur content of plants and available sulphur in the soil significantly over control. Ammonium sulphate as source of sulphur was found to be superior to all other sources.
