Results of seventeen field experiments conducted on groundnut with graded levels of P showed significant response up to 20 kg P2O5 ha−1 in the soils of low and medium P status. Olsen' extractable P and organic carbon contents were found suitable indices for assessing P availability to groundnut. Critical level of Olsen's P was 11.1 kg P ha−1 and that of organic carbon was 0.37 percent.
