Abstract

Sixteen representative apple orchards of Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh were surveyedfor their nutritional status using soil and leaf analysis. A relation between the available nutrient supply and the leafnutrient content was observed. Golden Delicious cultivar in general, had lower contents of the nutrients as compared to Royal and Red Delicious cultivars. The three cultivars were at par for N and differ significantly for K, Ca and Mg contents. The location and location x cultivar components affect significantly the nutrient contents.
