Nine soil test procedures for predicting sulphur availability to groundnut grown under greenhouse conditions on 22 surface Inceptisols from Varanasi were evaluated for their relative suitability through soil test crop response correlation studies. Sulphur extracted by all the soil test procedures had significant correlation with relative yield and uptake of sulphurby plants. In view of high degree of correlation of soil test values extracted by 0.15 percent CaCl2 solution with all the plant response parameters this procedure has been considered to be the best amongst the procedures compared.
