Abstract

Influence of soil water content and bulk density on oxygen diffusion rate (ODR) of Vertisols was studied in a pot experiment. Significant reduction in ODR was observed with the increase in soil water above 60 per cent of saturation and bulk density above 1.25 Mg m−3. The interaction of water and bulk density (M x B) was also found to be significant.
