Various forms of K and Q/I relationships were studiedin Balisahi soilseries (Fluventic Ustochrepts). These soils have low K-saturation and low to medium available K (NH4OAc) content. Water soluble, exchangeable, NH4OAc, 0.5N and 1N HNO3 extractable K and K-saturation in soils showed significant positive correlations with Q/I parameters like AReoK, KL, Ko, K-potential and ΔG of K-(Ca+Mg) exchange. Positive adsorption of potassium, obtained from the Q/I study, followed the Freundlich adsorption isotherm. The Freundlich adsorption constant ‘k’ was correlated negatively with K-saturation, exchangeable-K, NH4OAc-K, 1N HNO3-K, AReoK and positively with soil pH, exch. Ca + Mg, PBCK and ΔG of K-(Ca + Mg) exchange values.
