Abstract

A study conducted in rice fallows on groundnut indicates that nutrient concentration was high during early growth phase and then decreased upto maturity. Concentration and uptake of NPK increased with every increase in the level of fertilizers to groundnut. Residual effect of fertility after harvest of kharif rice due to the combined effect of organic manures (compost; green leaf manure) and inorganic fertilizers influenced the concentration and uptake of NPK to a larger extent compared to inorganic fertilizers alone. The haulm and pod yield also followed the trend of nutrient concentration and uptake.
