Results of simple correlation. multiple regression and path-coefficient analysis revealed that concentration of Al in roots had a significant role in reducing the root elongation of maize seedlings. Of the 4 genotypes tested Amber and Nagenahalli pop corn seems to be tolerant to acid soil stresses as compared to Ganga-II and U.P. pop corn.
