Abstract

The adsorption of metoxuron and tebuthiuron was studied on IR-120 resin, saturated with different cations. Extent of adsorption and other adsorption characteristics were similar to the adsorption of these herbicides on homoionic montmorillonites. There was a linear correlation between the amounts adsorbed on resins and the amounts adsorbed on montmorillonites. The bonding mechanisms of these herbicides on resins were also similar to that found for homoionic montmorillonites.
