Abstract

Application of 15 per cent acidulated rock phosphates exhibited favourable effect on the P-flxing capacity of the soil as compared with the highly water soluble sources as expressed in terms of an ion exchange capacity, available P status and extractable AP+ content of the soil. Soil rich in extractable A13+ and/or having higher degree of exchange acidity may be better suited for the use of rock phosphate or partially acidulated rock phosphate.
