Abstract

Soil test crop response correlation studies were carried out ontomato, cabbage, brinjal, okra, French bean, capsicum, onion, green chillies and cauliflower in an Alflsol using fertility gradient and yield goal approach. The results indicate that the response to applied N, P and K decreased with increased fertility status of soil for all the vegetable crops. The available N significantly correlated with yields of all vegetable crops except tomato and cabbage. The available P and K were significantly correlated with yields of aU vegetable crops except tomato. The yield prediction indices were increased for all the crops when soil and applied N, P and K were combined in multiple regression. Fertilizer adjustment equations for maximum targetted yields of these vegetable crops were derived for varying soil test values.
