Abstract

The nutrient requirement per quintal of grain production, efficiency of soil available nutrients and efficiency of applied nutrients have been worked out and given for toria (Brassica campestris), raya (Brassica juncea) and soybean (Glycine max) in Himachal Pradesh along with fertilizer adjustment equations. Using these fertilizer equations, eight field experiments with toria, six with raya and four with soybean were conducted from rabi 1991–92 to rabi 1994–95 at different locations in farmers' fields. The experiments indicate that it is possible to target the toria yield up to 15 q ha−1, raya yield upto 20q ha−1 and soybean yield upto 30 q ha−1.
