Abstract

In a pot culture experiment, composted coir pith with K significantly increased the yield of rice than other manures. To obtain 87.5 per cent of the maximum yield of rice, the fertilizer K requirement was found tobe 205 kg ha−1 where as when K was combined with either composted coir pith or farmyard manure or raw coir path, the K need for obtaining the same yield target was 75, 99 and 143 kg ha-1, respectively.
