Abstract

In a field experiment on Typic Ustochrept, chickpea (Cicer arietinum) responded significantly to the application of S and Zn. The magnitude of response was more marked with S than with Zn addition. However, these had antagonistic effect. S and Zn had significant positive effect on protein and S-containing amino acids. S-containing amino acids increased significantly with increase in S dose.
