Abstract

In a field study, application of mushroom spent rice straw compost, has resulted in an enhanced grain yield of rice to the tune of 20 per cent over 100% NPK and it was comparable with FYM. Composted coir pith application also recorded higher grain yield over NPK alone. The macro and micronutrients availability was increased considerably by the application of organic manures. Application of mushroom spent compost recorded higher Ca, Mg and Fe uptake by composed coir pith.
