In this study a simple functional model based on cumulative potential evaporation was developed. Its performance was compared with the already existing models. The results indicated that models with continuous function, either as square root of time or square root of cumulative potential evaporation, predicted evaporation closer to the observed and the computed with the model based on flow equation. The continuous functional models were better than the discrete functional models.
