Abstract

Hydrophysical properties such as bulk density, mechanical composition, water retention, available water capacity and hydraulic conductivity of three major soils viz. laterite, forest loam and coastal sandy profiles are presented. The statistical relationships of water retention at various suction with mechanical composition and organic carbon are shown for laterite and forest loam soils.
