Abstract

Inexactness and complexities associated with the conventional methods of land evaluation may be avoided by developing methods of fuzzy reasoning for decision making about land suitability. In the present investigation, an attempt has been made to explain the ideas of fuzzy sets and illustrate the use of fuzzy logic by undertaking a land evaluation exercise for suitability of rice in the selected soil series of central India.
