The mean monthly rainfall, erosivity, kinetic energy of erosive rainfall and erosion index factors for district Solan (Himachal Pradesh) were computed. Inter-relationships among erosivity rainfall, monthly rainfall, kinetic energy and erosion index were also developed. The erosion index worked out to be 244 units for Solan district. The relationships worked out between erosive rainfall and total rainfall, and between kinetic energy and erosive rainfall were linear.
