Different forms of sulphur and their relationship with some soil properties were studied in 18 profiles of four established series of Alfisols and Inceptisols of Morena and Bhind districts of Madhya Pradesh. All the forms of sulphur in general decreased wiih depth and showed significant positive relationship with organic carbon and total nitrogen while the relationship between sulphate sulphur and calcium carbonate content was significant but negative. Coefficients of correlation of total S with clay and that of organic S with silt were negative. Multiple regression equations were also worked out for predicting different forms of sulphur in relation to soil properties, viz. pH, EC, organic carbon, calcium carbonate, clay and silt.
