Abstract

A field experiment was carried out to study the direct and residual effects of enriched composts on soil properties in comparison with FYM, vermicompost and inorganic-fertilizers. The soil nutrient value was found to be high in enriched-compost-amended soil after the harvest of first and second crops. There was a slight decrease in the bulk density of the soil after the harvest of second crop in soil amended with compost compared to inorganic fertilizer treatment.
