Abstract

Based on analysis of 1110 soil samples from Haplustalfs of sub-humid southern plain and Aravalli hills of Rajasthan, 18.74, 40.63, 9.73, 25.41 and 36.12% deficiency of Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn and S, respectively, was observed. Critical limits for DTPA-Fe was found to be 4.69 mg kg−1 soil and for 45 days-old-maize plant was 44.2 mg Fe kg−1. The critical limit for DTPA-Zn was 0.95 mg kg−1 soil and 32.7 mg Zn kg−1 in plant.
