Field experiments were conducted on two varieties of wheat on Haplustept of Delhi. The experimental results were statistically analyzed for multiple regression by taking grain yield of wheat as dependent variable and soil available nutrients (N, P and K), fertilizer nutrients and interactions between soil and fertilizer nutrients as independent variables. Highly significant R2 values of 0.88 and 0.91 for multiple regression equations were obtained. From the partial differentiation of these multiple regression equations, the soil-test-based fertilizer recommendations for obtaining economic yield of wheat were developed.
