Public expenditure and national income in India: An investigation of structural changes and causality

An attempt is made in this paper towards measurement of the speed of growth and structural changes in India's Government Final Consumption Expenditure and Income at both aggregate and disaggregate levels. The paper also probes into whether there is any causal relationship between the two macro variables.
