This paper is an attempt to analyse the growth of districts in Haryana in terms of their Per Capita Net District Domestic Product (PCNDDP) during the period of 2000–01 to 2010–11. To capture the pattern of regional development in Haryana, convergence analysis has been applied. The results of σ-convergence analysis indicate that the districts of Haryana have diverged in terms of per capita real DDP over period under consideration and inequality has increased. We also examined the issue of regional divergence at sectoral level through CV-trend analysis for broad components of PCNDDP, viz., primary sector, secondary sector and tertiary sectors. The results reveal that CVsforper capita DDP originating in all the sectors have the positive trend with total PCNDDP. Moreover the disparities are increasing in tertiary sector much more than the in primary sector. Further, we did not find any evidence of β-convergence. The coefficients of the indices of initial per capita income are positive.
