The paper attempts to construct ISP for banking sector in India for all SCBs including RRBs based on the guidelines of OECD(2007) and select recommendations of GoI(2012). The index is constructed based on annual balance sheet data published by banks. However, methods used for construction of the index can be applied for any periodicity subject to availability of data.
