Impact of Uncertainty on Growth and Investment Intensions - A Quick Review from Business Outlook Survey

This paper identifies economic shocks in Indian Economy based on the uncertainty measure using Industrial Outlook Survey of the Reserve Bank of India. A threshold ceiling for the uncertainty measure identifies the major irregular episodes in Indian economy during last two decades. Further, the paper attempts to study the behaviour of growth and investment intentions in response to uncertainty in the manufacturing sector.
