Abstract

This study delves into the authorship patterns and collaborative tendencies within the Indian Journal of Information Sources and Services (IJISS). An analysis of 2,213 citations reveals that researchers primarily draw from journals as their primary information sources. The Collaborative Index (CI) has increased from 1.78 to 2.12, indicating a growing trend toward multiple authors contributing to publications, with a decrease from 2.16 to 1.75 in instances of single-authored articles. The overall level of collaboration stands at 0.60, with a Collaborative Coefficient of 0.34. This study underscores the emphasis placed by IJISS researchers on collaborative research over individual contributions.
