Empowering women with disabilities in North Bihar through skill development

The role of skill development initiatives in empowering women with disabilities in North Bihar has been explored in this study. Based on secondary data from governmental and non-governmental sources, the paper analyses the socio-economic impact of existing programmes and key challenges such as access and inclusivity. Results suggest that skill development programmes positively impact social mobility and financial independence, and implementation gaps prevent widespread empowerment. Policy recommendations for skill development initiatives as per the needs of women with disabilities in North Bihar are offered as conclusions of the study, which also suggest various policy directions for social protection programmes.
