Abstract

The paper deals with information seeking behaviour of health professionals. The Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, is a very renowned institution in the field of Medical Sciences. The paper highlighted the topics such as formal and informal sources of information, purpose of seeking information, preferences to database, methods for keeping themselves updated, etc., which are questioned from the health professionals of SGPGIMS, Lucknow. The information seeking habits, satisfaction gained by them in seeking information, preferred information services, etc., are inquired from the medicos. The paper discovers the important information seeking practices by health professionals in the SGPGIMS, Lucknow.
