Abstract

The paper presents academic libraries’ situation in India. Academic libraries all over the world have been suffering from financial crunch. In this financial crunch, how to meet the information requirement and to develop the responsive collection is the need of the hour and big responsibility on the shoulders of the librarians. This atmosphere has triggered the library professionals to develop their skills according to the evolving technology. This synchronisation of technology and library professionals bears fruitful results which may be beneficial for universities in general and libraries in particular.
