Evaluation of Anxiety and Stress Effects on Social Media Use: a Case Study of Library Professionals in India

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to explore the anxiety and stress effects on usage of social media (SM) among library professionals in India. The study explores that most users preferred the SM to gather information, including demographic information, frequency of login, time spent, friends/followers usage, location, devices, etc. Most popular SM tools have stress effects if constant or often connected to tools. The study also elaborates vital issues such as SM affect constant checkers and non-constant checkers, collaborative along with SM worries, facing difficulty and problem set with using SM. Finally, most respondents may be having addiction of SM, and prevent of anxiety and stress on usage of SM technology management strategies and marks the level of anxiety and stress.
