Institutional e-print repository: A study of Bangalore University digital repository

Information technology has helped the library to give better services to the user community. Nowadays, libraries are taking an interest in building institutional repositories where they can store the research output of their faculty, Research Scholar, and students. The present study is undertaken concept and need of institutional repository and evaluates the research output of Bangalore university e prints repositories by year wise contribution, Department wise contribution, form wise and topmost contributing author and most downloaded item of the repository.
