Confirming the Determinants of Job Satisfaction among Secondary School Librarians of Delhi NCR

Abstract

Job satisfaction is the indicator of any healthy organisation which helps to improve the productivity of its employees as well as the organisation. School library personnel play an important role in secondary as well as higher education, they build a strong root. The present study deals with the job satisfaction factors confirmation among secondary school library personnel of the Delhi NCR region. The study was conducted to find out the factors confirmation of job satisfaction levelssuch as working environment, promotion, salary, routine work, recognition and appreciation, opportunities for future growth, fringe benefits, training facilities, internal relationships, job security, and transfer policies among the secondary school library personnel. Personnel deputed in libraries of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Navodaya Vidyalaya Schools of Delhi NCR Region have only been included in the study. The descriptive survey method was used to investigate, out of 131 schools 99 school library personnel participated in this study. The results explored that the different job satisfaction factors affect the job satisfaction level of school library personnel. The factors confirmation was made with SPSS version 18 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) and PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square with Structural Equation Model).
