Abstract

This paper explores the seamless process of automating a government school library using e-Granthalaya 4.0, comprehensive library management software developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). Emphasizing the use of customizable paid services offered by NIC and NICSI, the paper outlines the steps and requirements for a smooth transition to an automated system. e-Granthalaya 4.0, hosted on the Meghraj cloud, offers robust features for efficient library management, ensuring data security and ease of access. The NICSI services, including training, data entry, and professional deployment, provide tailored support to address specific library needs. This approach not only enhances operational efficiency and resource management but also significantly improves user experience for students and staff. By leveraging these advanced tools and services, government school libraries can transform into modern knowledge centers, promoting better learning outcomes and efficient information dissemination.
