Webometrics mainly deals with the online content which measures numbers and types of hyperlinks in online mode. The paper concentrated on the bibliometric analysis of the existing literature on webometrics. The sample included 473 scholarly papers published in the field of webometrics and included in the Scopus database from 2013 to 2022. The study was examined the area of growth of publications over time, authorship patterns, prolific authors, citation frequencies, publication types, prominent sources of publication, as well as the countries and institutions involved. The findings indicated a growth in the literature, accompanied by a trend towards collaborative authorship. This original research paper will prove valuable to researchers in the field of library and information science, particularly those focused on bibliometrics and webometrics studies.
