Artificial intelligence and Indian libraries

How are Indian libraries using artificial intelligence? What are the challenges associated with using AI? While AI is still in the early phase of research, it has already begun to emerge as a powerful force that will fundamentally alter many aspects of human life. India occupies the first place in the world in terms of population and it also occupies the first place in terms of youth population. The total population of India is 65 percent young people under 35 years old. To quench the thirst of the population, libraries will have to be converted into learning hubs and information centers, in which AI can play a tremendous role. This paper presented qualitative research after an extensive literature review and exploration of the internet. The library utilizes different AI components, such as machine learning, natural processing, deep learning, and expert systems. In different sections of the library, such as cataloging, classification, collection development, indexing and abstracting, DDS, and acquisition. Finally, some challenges have been described due to which Indian libraries are unable to use artificial intelligence.
