Trends of Ph.D. research in Indian Institute of foreign trade, Delhi during 2011 to 2022: A study

This study focused on the analytical study of theses awarded by IIFT, Delhi from the year 2011 to the year 2022. A total of 56 theses have been awarded during this period of 12 years. The main aim of this study is to analyze these with the help of various bibliometric parameters like year-wise distribution of theses, authorship pattern, author productivity, subject-wise distribution of theses, number of references cited, etc. All the data required for this study were collected from Shodhganga, a repository for Indian Ph.D. theses. It was found that out of 56 theses, 9 theses were awarded in the year 2015, and in the years 2012 and 2013, there were no Ph.D. theses awarded. It was also found that most of the research was conducted in the areas of production, supply, and demand, financial economics, and marketing management.
