Abstract

Future library planning and design entail developing technologically connected, flexible, and adaptive environments that serve as community centres and encourage both solitary and group learning. To create libraries prepared for the future, designers should prioritise diversity, accessibility, and community involvement while developing flexible, technologically connected spaces that encourage both individual and group learning. To address changing user needs, important tactics include incorporating digital tools, designing adaptable furniture, ensuring the availability of power and connectivity, and launching initiatives that support social justice and a range of viewpoints. End-users frequently engage in deliberate acts of radical trust in digital contexts. Modern libraries are dynamic, flexible spaces that can accommodate a variety of 21st-century learning activities. Students and teachers can now study, learn, plan, design, create, and cooperate in the school library, which is developing into an active learning commons. To promote transformative teaching and learning, a future-ready librarian takes the lead in choosing, integrating, organising, and disseminating digital tools and resources.
